About Me

Ankit PMRF is a PhD student at IITK Kanpur, India, with a focus on inorganic chemistry and the development of new medications and medical technologies. His research is at the interface of inorganic chemistry and biology, utilizing metal-ligand interactions and bioconjugation strategies to study and manipulate complex site-selective reactivity. Ankit is currently working on a project aimed at synthesizing complexes that act as modulators of the immune response in the body, particularly in the tumor microenvironment. These complexes can interact with cells like macrophages and affect the levels of cytokines and immunosuppressive cells like regulatory T (Treg) cells. Through his research, Ankit hopes to develop new drugs and novel vaccines with enhanced therapeutic potential for the benefit of human health.
